Dr. James D. Baker completed his undergraduate work in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His orthopaedic surgery training was at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed an additional fellowship year of subspecialty training for hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio.
Dr. Baker performs his surgeries at St. Elizabeth Healthcare facilities. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), Kentucky Medical Association and Northern Kentucky Medical Society. Dr. Baker is board-certified and specializes in the treatment of upper extremity disorders including those of the hand, wrist and elbow, with an interest in occupational and work-related injuries.
